Miss Pepper Potts, at your service.: Dear Tony,
Merry Christmas!
This past year has been trying in many ways, most of which ended with terrible headaches, long nights in the office and many glasses of wine.
I’m still not used to the idea of you running around and putting yourself in danger all the time, but I’m starting to understand that it’s something you really need to do and I am very proud of you and the other avengers, you couldn’t have picked a better team of men (and woman) to work with.
I know it’s been hard for you, having your father just turn up, but I do feel like it’s been a very good thing for both of you and I really hope that you two work things out and do get to be close and understand one another better.
Being your girlfriend hasn’t been easy, though, it’s not much different than being your assistant. You’ve gotten better about a lot of things though, and I know you’re working on getting better at the others; it really does make me happy just to know you’re trying.
This wasn’t the perfect first Christmas I was expecting to have with you, (being snowed in and having your father here were not in my original plans. Nor was the threat of earth being frozen by evil elves.) The snow is a bit magical though, don’t you think?
I thought for a long time over what to get for the man who already has everything and can make anything he already doesn’t have. I’ve finally decided to give you something you couldn’t buy even if you wanted too, a key to my apartment. Use it wisely, or I’ll take it away and get you something cheesy, like a watch.
Though we have had our ups and downs, you really have been a wonderful friend and boyfriend and I wouldn’t change a thing. Well, maybe some things.
Forever yours,
Pepper
I’m not gonna risk ruining the moment by trying to write up a response worthy of this.
But I wanted you to know I saw it all the same.
